New Sandy Carson Site

Sandy Carson just launched a new portfolio site. Eyeball that HERE. I mean it, all kinds of gems.
I can’t stop laughing at the photo above. I’m currently that guy in a coffee shop laughing by himself in the corner.

Nuno’s Olivejuuuuice photo blog got a bit of a facelift courtesy of Harrison. It looks like he’s going to be posting more than just photos as well…

It looks like the dudes over at Eclat have given themselves an early Christmas present in the form of a new website alongside their new components, and it’s looking good. Check it out!

The Cult crew just dropped a new site, check it out HERE.
Fret not of seizure-inducing graphics, haha…
PS – Go get that Let Em Talk if you haven’t already.

G-Sport just launched a brand new site. To go along with that is this WELCOME TO THE TEAM EDIT featuring Van Homan, Randy Brown, Dakota Roche, Andrew Jackson and Dave Thompson. Mike taylor is also on the team, but has been hurt.
I’ve just come across a site called California is a Place, which is a site comprised of short films documenting stories within California produced, directed, and shot by Drea Cooper & Zackary Canepari.
Here is what they say:
California is loaded. From Disneyland to farmland, we’ve got Scientology and superstars, Silicon and silicone, crips and bloods. The border. Krunkin’ Clownin’ Jerkin’. The surf and the turf. The boom and the bust. California is humanity run amuck and then packaged, branded and sold. California Cuisine, California Love, California Casual, California Gold, California Girls, and of course, California Dreams. If it exists in the world, it exists here and it does so with pizzaz.
Obviously, we love this stuff. That’s why we’re doing this project. Simply put, California is sensational. And the closer we look the better it gets: words and images, stories and songs, opinions and ideas. This project is ongoing. We hope you like what you see and say so. We plan to post often. So until that day, when we finally float off into the Pacific, California is a place. Stay tuned.
So far there are only 4 edits up, but I got sucked into each one and can’t wait for more. I’ve embedded “Borderland”, which is kind of hard and sad, but it’s a good view into how some people deal with border issues in the southwest. Each film also has photos that go along with each one, so make sure you click “photos” to check those out too. Total package right there.

The World’s Best Ever is one of my favorite sites, I check it everyday. I know some of you probably do as well. The content is so assorted that it’s always interesting.
In addition to their Sound Advice series, Pictures of The Day, Slideshows and overall random interesting blogging, they will now be offering unique prints for sale from time to time. Peep the first offering HERE.

Childstore, a bike shop we posted on a few months back showcasing a bunch of photos from inside the store, has a new website up. Great design, good photos, and a bunch of videos… What more do you need… You can see the new site at – childstore.se

Sputnic have a new site up. Check it out HERE.

Cameras With Out Cables is a website dedicated to collecting the work of BMX and skate photographers who shoot film. The end goal is to publish a book, but for now, they have a nice selection of film posted on their blog. If you shoot film, you should send some of your photos their way and keep reading to check out some photos that have already been posted on their site.

The guys at Effort just posted a new issue… Like the site says; BMX + photos + words = Effort Digital BMX Magazine.

I love randomness. I stumbled upon this site from a few links, and it immediately caught my attention as something that seemed interesting and informative, with a layout that made me want to dig deeper.
Upon looking around, I found an entry entitled “Creative BMX Culture“, which I checked out (notice the Travis Sexsmith Macneil image). I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had Defgrip linked up in there, as well as some other BMX related brands. It always awesome when random people come across our site and spread love.
Thanks TTWL crew!!

I just came across THIS ALSO, which is a rad photo site with a nice simple layout and premise.
The site is nothing but thumbnails (for lack of a better word), which also double as links to that particular photographers site. The site seems fairly new (I guess), and I don’t know how often it’s updated yet, but this would be a pretty awesome/easy way to come across new stuff.
Check out THIS ALSO, and prepare to kill some time.
Federal have a new re-designed site up, which you can check out HERE. This is a perfect excuse to re-post the above edit. So good.
Thanks to Chris Harrison for the heads up.

One of the many (and one of my favorite) architecture/environmental design sites Materialicious recently switched up their site from a traditional blog, to more of a image blog. They seem to be posting way more and have some great links.

Since we started the day off with a car post, we might as well end the day with another car post. This time is a re-visit to an older post we had with a video of DC Shoes founder Ken Block going crazy driving a Subaru in an Air Field. Well I guess the whole concept has a name – Gymkana, and there’s a whole site dedicated to Ken Blocks video, car, products and more. To go along with the site, they have a new video of unseen footage from the first video. It starts out a bit slow, but it’s definitely worth a watch.
Check it out after the jump – Continue reading Ken Block Gymkhana →

Finally got my internet back, so here goes some updates I got via Twitter.
Empire’s new site has gone live. You can check that out HERE, and the trailer for their next video HERE, which I have been harassing Tom about ever since they showed it at interbike.
Related- Caleb Everitt interview.

The Silver Lining is a site I came across via the incoming links for Defgrip. It’s always rad to see random sites and people who we have no connection to, being psyched on what we have going on.
The Silver Lining is a simple art based blog site updated with anything they find interesting. It pointed me to some sweet photos by Stephen Tamiesie today, which I’m psyched on.
Check The Silver Lining.
