Disposed: Verde in UK

Here’s a Disposed featuring the Verde team in the UK. Shouts to Will Stroud & Co.

Be sure to check out an article on this trip in the current Ride UK.

Disposed – Ten Pack pt. 2

Here’s the second Disposed from the Ten Pack crew. This time, the photos are from a trip to Edmonton, Calgary, and Dawson Creek with the Verde crew – Dave Thompson, Kevin Kiraly, Wade Lajlar along with a bunch of other rad dudes.

My buddy Tim approached me like 1.5 years ago to create a cool looking bike to display at his shop UNIV in Encinitas. I made very lazy progress, enlisting the help of friends whenever the thought crossed my mind… a seat cover here, a headtube badge there, until we were done. All my favorite companies contributed (see who after the jump) among which was our friend Matt at The Laboratory who handcrafted a multi-layered textured paint finish that looks exactly like something that just spent a few decades at the bottom of the ocean.

In the end though, it’s just a BMX bike so Jim and I took a morning drive down to UNIV to test it out on the world’s smallest quarterpipe. Click below to see all the photos and read UNIV’s press release.

Verde Hawaii Trip

Daaaamn! I feel like going to a luau now.

Here’s Dave Thompson, Brian Yeagle, Kevin Kiraly and Justin Burns laying down the moves in Hawaii.

Verde 2011 Completes

Like they’ve done over the past two years, Verde hooked us up with a preview of their new 2011 complete bikes. Check them out after the jump and make sure to click on the images to see the bikes in full size!

Verde Spring 2010 Team Edit

Verde just dropped this team edit featuring Brian Yeagle, Kevin Kiraly, Dave Thompson, Mike Ardelean, Justin Burns & Roman Tencza.

Good stuff. Click below.

New Merit Site

Our boy Jason Eichhorst has revived his Merit Compatibles website with a new focus on original content. For one of his first features he was kind enough to do a feature on my old bike and car, a sort of throwback to three Summers ago when we did the exact same thing for the same site (different bike, different car).  There’s also a cool feature on photographer Jeff Brown and a long-term product test/review of the IPath Gall shoe.

My advice to you? Get a job, sir!

To all you Midwestern Defgrip readers with design skills: the house of Verde, Duo and Cinema have a gig for you. Click below to read a full description of the available full-time web designer job at Greenhouse BMX. The bums will always lose.

Kevin Kiraly Simpel Session Practice

This is the first of what probably will be hundreds of edits coming out of Estonia from Simpel Session 2010. Will Stroud threw together this quick edit of Kevin Kiraly at practice today and judging from the clips, you know the contest is going to be crazy!

Verde in LA

Will Stroud was out in LA recently getting some footage of Mike Ardelean and Jesse Whaley for Verde and I came across some photos of the guys on the Ludwig blog. The girls from Tiger Tiger shot them (their first time shooting BMX) and there are some good shots in there. Check a few out on the Ludwig blog and the rest out on the Tiger Tiger blog.

Dave Thompson on Fuel TV

There’s a nice short interview up with Dave Thompson on Fuel TV’s website, featuring photos by Andrew Brady.

Above photo courtesy of  Jason Eichhorst.

Check the interview out here.
