A Day in the Life of Stanley Kubrick

A must read for any Kubrick fan, following the director around during the filming of 2001 a Space Odyssey. Thanks to Jackson Glasgow for the link. Check it out here.

Kubrick // One-Point Perspective

Ok, I admit it… I’ve never seen one Stanley Kubrick movie (the collective gasp just sucked the oxygen out of my room). I’ve also never made a movie but still found this interesting. Here’s a quick little trip through some Kubrick shit, one-point perspective style.

The dude responsible for this has some cool work on his Vimeo page. Click below to check out “Tarantino // From Below”.

Making the Shining

When Stanley Kubrick filmed his seminal The Shining, he allowed his then 17 year-old daughter Vivian Kubrick to shoot a documentary on the making of the film. What resulted is an incredibly casual but revealing insight into Kubrick’s process and even Jack Nicholson’s tooth-brushing technique. Really love this documentary. Check it out after the jump!
