Ever wonder why sneakers end up on powerlines? Me neither for the most part. I notice them all the time but don't give it a second thought. Well, this doc gathers some international theories on the subject. I thought it was gonna be some eye-rolling sneaker nerd shit, but it's not. I ended up getting sucked in.

“Rad Rides: The Best of BMX (working title) looks to explore the world of BMX through photographs of bikes and Q&As with their owners. Some of the bikes are knackered, well worn by owners that have been riding for years. Others are beautiful, sculptural works of art, built but never ridden as a keepsake. Why are these bikes so sacred to their owners? What do these BMX riders do for a living? Where do they ride their bikes? What is it about the BMX that appeals to them? Is their bike a classic production bike or is it a custom build?”

I’m pretty sure everyone at one point or another has worn Vans in their life. You really can’t deny their history.
With that said, Vans will be releasing a book on June 1st.
“The book weaves together the multi-generational story of the community and culture of all that has influenced and has been influenced by Vans: boards, bikes, art, music, and street culture, and the iconic shoes that have united them together. ”
