Nike Sportswear

Nike Sportswear just released a new collection and Nigel is still holding it down for BMX! There are a few new photos and a few o we’ve already seen of Nigel, but it’s just dope to have a BMX presence in a mainstream campaign like this!

Check it out on the Nike site.

Nike Make Something

Right before I headed down to LA for the Nike Lightning Bolts show, Sierra from Nike hit me up to see if I’d be into hosting a Nike “Make Something” class at the Montalban Theater a few days after the show. I was super psyched because I had just seen a bunch of videos on their Sportswear site with artists like Kaws and Mike Mills hosting classes and also because they wanted Bob Haro to do the class, but he couldn’t make it, so they asked me!

I wanted to figure out something really cool to do for the class and with having no teaching experience, I was stressing about putting together something fun, but also teaching something that had substance and knowledge that the kids could take with them when they left the class… After going over a few different ideas, I ended up teaching the kids how to stencil.

Last night’s Nike art show/party went off pretty well. Cool space, some cool number plates, a bunch of rad people in the house and complimentary drinks and candy.

I went with the intentions of taking some photos for this site, but quickly abandoned that plan due to a combination of catching up with people and forgetting about it. Luckily, the magazine guys and other media dudes were on hand to snap some photos.

Check out some photos on the Ride site HERE.

Yeah I used a photo with myself in it for this post, so what?? Impromptu beard gathering by Jeff Z. Hahaha.

Nike Lightning Bolts Preview

The final Nike Lightning Bolts art show is going down next week in Los Angeles and for the show, they have asked 25 new artists to create plates for the show. Sierra at Nike hooked up a nice little preview of some of the new plates. Check out a bunch of photos after the jump and keep reading for more info about the show.

All art will be exhibited at the Montablan from Dec. 10th-Dec 14th. The weeklong online auction will kick off the evening of Dec. 10th, ending Dec. 14th. To place a bid, view a photo gallery of all art, and read the artist statements go to: Besides art there will be music, drinks, and a special screening of the Nike 6.0 BMX Movie, Writing on the Wall.

Check out the plates after the jump – READ MORE

I know we’re a bit late on this one, but whatever, you probably saw it somewhere else.
