Over the years, we’ve gotten our hands on some great artists and accumulated some interesting Q&A’s. I am a fan of all these dudes, which is why I reached out to them in the first place. These guys are still doing great stuff and you should recognize some of these names by now if you follow the art world. If not, click below to check out the interviews. They are are all worth revisiting.

Jon Contino

If you’re a regular to this site, than you know that we are fans of Jon Contino. I’ve done a Q&A with him and we had him take over photo of the day for a month. Dude’s good.

I just came across this cool piece on him, check it out. Dude seems to have that cool inspiring vibe that could rub off on you.

Photo Of The Day: Jon Contino

Jon Contino will be taking over our Photo of The Day for the next month or so. Jon is one of our favorite designers, so we are stoked to have him on board.

Thanks to Robin Fenlon for his extended tour of duty.

Q&A: Jon Contino

Honestly, I don’t know what took so long for this Q&A with Jon Contino to happen. Harrison and I both love his stuff, we’ve featured him on here before, so there really is no excuse.

Anyway, Jon Contino is an amazing illustrator based out of New York who specializes in hand lettering. His work looks authentic, unique and has a vintage quality that can’t be faked. I can’t say enough good things about his stuff. Real deal right here.

Momentus

If you’re a fan of US History and design, than Momentus is for you. Even if you’re not a fan, this is still rad.

Momentus is a new project that launched today, which involves a slew of designers/illustrators taking on certain events in US history. The first one just so happens be from one of our favorite dudes, Jon Contino, and is for The Revolutionary War.

This seems like a good way to stay knowledgeable while pleasing your eyeballs, so keep checking back as new submissions get posted.

Alphastructaesthetitologist

In continuing with the New York theme, I just had the pleasant experience of browsing the work of New York’s Jon Contino. He calls himself an Alphastructaesthetitologist, which basically means that he is damn good at lettering and illustration.

Click below for a quick sample, then go HERE to check out his site.
