Chermayeff & Geismar

Pan Am Ads Chermayeff & Geismar

Check out some amazing work from the historic design studio Chermayeff & Geismar. With logos such as the Mobile, Chase, and Barneys, you know you will not be disappointed. Some of my favorite work is their Pan Am campaigns posted above.

Burn Everything

burneverything graphic design stuido liverpool england

While I was browsing grafikcache, I came across a new site for Burneverything. A design studio out of Liverpool, England. We’ve posted about them before and I love their work. It’s interesting though how my tolerance for flash sites is getting smaller and smaller. If I know the company or person’s site I’m looking at I’ll give it a shot, but if I come across a new flash site, I find my self closing the page really quick… The Burneverything site is flash, but at least it’s nice and simple.

Check out their new site here.

Newwork Magazine

Newwork, a large format magazine printed on newsprint, just released their third issue. I have yet to see one, but this is the kind of stuff I’m in love with. I’m going to order a copy of issue two on Youworkforthem right now!

Check out Newwork Magazine here.

Skier Jay Video

To go along with Skier Jay’s interview he sent us a rad video montage of his work. If you missed Skier’s interview check it out here and to see more of his work you check check out his site –

More Album Art

There is a pretty good post on The Font Feed about the Grammy that was awarded to best packaging and music video. They give their two sense about the Metalica album that won for best packaging and put up a few of their favorite album covers from the past year. They also have some good videos for video of the year.

Check it out here.

Logos Of The Year

I was just checking out The Brilliance and got linked to a site called Brand New who had a pretty solid roundup of logos from 2008. It’s cool to see the details that went into some of the good re-designs, as well as the crap like the new Pepsi logo above… Where’s the Obama logo? Or did that come out in 07?

Check out Brand New’s logo roundup here.

Experimental Jetset

Experimental Jetset is always an amazing site to check out.

I’m sure most of you are chilling/recovering after the holidays, and/or probably catching up on things after some traveling.

If that’s the case and you need some time to kill (and are into graphic design/photography) you should browse Well Medicated and Smashing magazine. Both sites have interesting collections of random things such as 50 Amazing Gig Posters and Vintage and Retro Typography Showcase, as well as tips/tutorials and interesting bits of info.

These sites can serve as inspiration for sure, so add them to your bookmarks.

Arkitip | Parra | Incase

Arkitip and Incase teamed up with the artist Parra to produce a limited series iPhone Slider case and a sleeve for your MacBook pro. Along with the project, they have released a video giving you a look inside Parra’s world. The video was shot by Parra while he is narrating at the same time, making for a pretty interesting video.

Check out the project here and watch the video after the jump –

Caleb Everitt Update

Caleb Everitt, the graphic designer behind Mutiny Bikes,  just left a comment on the last post, reminding me that I should check out his site. I was wonderfully surprised to see a nice update and thought everyone might like to check it out!

Here’s a link to Caleb’s site –

Teller and Baron

Two great fashion related articles I’ve come across recently. The first is from New York Magazine with photographer Jurgen Teller and the second is with one of my favorite graphic designers Fabien Baron.

Check out the Jurgen Teller article here and the Fabein Baron article here

Li, Inc.

I posted on Tyler Aksew’s Favorite Thing’s radio show the other day and I’ve been following his blog ever since. Tyler’s a designer and has posted some great links. I was super psyched on this designer firm Li, Inc. They are based out of New York and have some amazing work. I’ve been a fan of all the Barneys Co-op stuff for a while, and It’s always rad to come across portfolios with work that has caught your eye in it’s natural setting.

Check out Li, Inc’s site here.

Gara Di Nervi

I came across the work of Gara Di Nervi on Surfsation and had to post it. I’m loving all the mixed media stuff and there is a lot of work to check out. I’m loving the dirty website and it really takes me back to working on random web projects back in the day just for fun.

Check out the work of Gara Di Nervi here.
