We teamed up with Animal Bikes and Edwin De La Rosa to produce a t-shirt featuring a photo that ran in the FW 2010 lookbook on Defgrip. The shirts are limited to 75 pieces and all ship with a full color zine featuring photos from the lookbook. The zine is really dope and we are stoked on how the shirts turned out.
So stoked in fact that we are also running a second design in three colors featuring a different photo that will be available on the Animal online store as well as your local bike shops!

In case some of you have missed any of the sweet video content we have brought you this year, here they all are in one place.
The videos are embedded from (mostly) oldest to newest, and you will find interviews as well as riding edits. As I was compiling this, I kept being reminded of all the great stuff from this year that I had forgotten about.
We have a small batch of the Defgrip X Quintin hats in stock on our online store right now. The quantities are really small and based on all the positive response, they will probably sell out real fast, so we just want to apologize in advance if you aren’t able to pick one up. We are in the process of working on a larger run of hats, so keep an eye out for those, and while your at it, pick up one of the Defgrip beanies now that the weather is getting cold!! (p.s. we ship anywhere in the world!)
Sam Buros hit me up a while back asking if I could send him the Defgrip logo, so he could do a few prints for a school project. I was stoked, sent him the logo, and here are the results! Sam also sent over a bunch of other prints, as well as a writeup about his process. Big thanks to Sam for the support!!
My buddy Tim approached me like 1.5 years ago to create a cool looking bike to display at his shop UNIV in Encinitas. I made very lazy progress, enlisting the help of friends whenever the thought crossed my mind… a seat cover here, a headtube badge there, until we were done. All my favorite companies contributed (see who after the jump) among which was our friend Matt at The Laboratory who handcrafted a multi-layered textured paint finish that looks exactly like something that just spent a few decades at the bottom of the ocean.
In the end though, it’s just a BMX bike so Jim and I took a morning drive down to UNIV to test it out on the world’s smallest quarterpipe. Click below to see all the photos and read UNIV’s press release.
Duo just sent over a copy of their latest ad that’s running in Ride UK. We are super stoked because the ad features a rad shot of the Duo X Defgrip seat that we did with them along with a nice shout-out to our site! Keep reading to check out the full ad and if you haven’t picked up a seat yet, make sure you hit up your local bike shop and have them get in touch with Greenhouse or check the seat out on Dans!
Matty Lambert was recently out in Australia where he linked up and filmed this interview with Chris Polack of Rebel Yell. Matty was kind enough to contribute the interview to Defgrip, so click below to check that out.
In addition, I shot some photos of the Rebel Yell book that Chris sent through for you to check out. It’s dope!
*EDIT – If you are interested in picking up a copy of Rebelyell, Chris just sent over some info that you can check out after the jump.
That’s right, the beanies are done and in stock! We have three colors avalible – Red, Gray, and Black all with a white Defgrip woven label. I know, I know… It’s a bit late in the year and we just missed winter, but that shouldn’t stop you from picking one up in each color!
For the past few months we have been working with Duo to design and limited edition Pivotal seat! We worked off the “S.L” shape and kept the colors simple with black top and white base. The seat has some tonal stitching and a woven label on the front, and an embossed logo on the back. We are super excited on how they turned out and cant wait to throw them on our bikes. You can get them from Greenhouse Distribution and check out a few more shots of the seat after the jump!
