Transforming House

David Lang sent me a link to this video on the Planet Green website about this amazing 300 square foot apartment in Hong Kong. All the walls are built on tracks and what looks like a one room house can basically transform into any room; kitchen, bathroom, beadroom, etc. Check out the whole video on Planet Green.

Apartamento Magazine

I’m excited for my subscription issues of Apartamento to start showing up. Rebelling against the usual formula for interiors magazines, Apartamento will skip the perfectly-styled joints and feature the real-life ones. Looks like something that even dirtbag BMXers could relate to.

56 Leonard St. by Herzog & de Meuron

I came across this post on a new apartment building going up at 56 Leonard St. in the Meat Packing District in New York and I was blown away. It was designed by Herzog & de Meuron and features 145 unique floor plans, starting at an affordable (haha) $3 million and going up to a whopping $33 million! You can read about all the info on the Dezeen blog, but I can’t wait to see this building go up. It’s going to look incredible and the juxtaposition of each floor reminds me of the game Janga… Now all I have to do is figure out how to round up a few mill for a down payment…

Check out all the info and a bunch more photos on the Dezeen blog.
