ALYK – Fed Up With The Bullshit Promo

Act Like You Know is a group of like-minded people that I strongly believe in. I am not just saying this because I am affiliated with them either. For us it is a mixture of passion and hatred that keep us going. For me personally a lot of riding I see these days is all the same or just lacking any real substance. Riding around and scouring through cities is one of my favorite things to do. That has been a huge part of riding for me since I can remember.

Everyone involved in this project brings something unique to the table. No one involved settles for mediocrity when it comes to spot usage. If something is whack then we let the other person know.

Cop fresh gear here. Everything is on point.

Sunday Mixer

5 minutes from the Sunday fam comprised of clips that will not be going towards another project.

The Finer Things (in full)

Sit back and watch The Finer Things in its entirety. From the consistent kaleidoscope effect/theme to the riding and the filming, I’m a big fan of this project. Shouts to Mastroni and crew.

Enjoy.

CULTIVATE

17 minutes with Dakota Roche, Alex Kennedy, Trey Jones, Andrew Castaneda and more. Get into it.

Below

You might need to set aside some quiet time for this one, but I definitely recommend you do. Richard Forne did a good job of getting the Above Below crew (and more) to candidly discuss BMX and its lifestyle in the BELOW version of the video. Also, that screengrab is horrifying.

You can watch Above Below in full below. This is the most I’ve ever typed “below” in one spot.

Travis Mortz @ Random

broc raiford, traviz mortz photo

This Photo was taken during the Mongoose jam at Woodward. Broc and I had already shot a few photos earlier in the week so when the contest started I focused on photographing him and a few other riders in the event instead of chasing around everybody the whole time for a shot. After watching Broc do some practice runs I learned his line and was able to anticipate this shot ahead of time. His first run he tossed an effortless truck driver off the top of the ledge, I shot it a bit early, then in his second run he charged at the ledge again and I knew it wouldn’t be another bar variation so I sat back and waited. As soon as he threw the whip my finger reacted and I captured this photo.

This photograph was shot at 1/500th @F8 using my Hasselblad 503CW on Ilford Delta 100, promptly after shooting the contest I went into the digital media lab and started developing this film while Darryl Nau was still outside announcing the winners. Once the film was processed I scanned it with an Epson V700.

Ambipegstreetest – Jake Coulson

The other day a 17-year-old kid told me that Jake is his favorite rider. I had to break it down in my head. Jake is a perfect mixture of modern day street riding and classic street riding. He has the talent but unlike a lot of these kids, he has the eyes as well. Hopefully more young kids are influenced by Jake and his tasteful skills.
