I know you’re all probably familiar with the term “Chav” by now, but being that I’m touring around some of the sketchier regions of the UK right now, I’ve got Chav on the brain. The United Bike Co team have helped me compile a list of the top 3 Chav sites, so if you’re not up on your Chav game, this is some fun homework.
This is dedicated to all the Chavs. You rock big logos and athletic gear, you front with fake jewelry, you’re loud, you love fighting, you’re destructive, you’re embarrassing to yourselves, you ruined Burberry, one of the UK’s biggest celebrities (Ali G) is a parody of you, and you still run it to the limit. But you’re human beings and we love you.
Red Bull Elevation is coming up! They have updated their site for this year and have added a blog. Chris Young from MacNeil/Metro/Ten Pack is going to be keeping you up with the progress of the jumps and anything else that has great importance. Last year’s contest was nuts, so you know with one year under their belt, the crew is going to put on an amazing contest.
Check out some out-takes of the Summer 06 LRG photoshoot, shot by Kareem Black of the KDU. I’m a big fan of LRG. They have a solid vision and really push hard to constantly elevate their brand. One thing I really like about this photoshoot is that it’s not as much about the clothing, as it is, the community that they have built. The Metal site was updated a bit ago, but Seth has been putting the team pages up over the past few days. You have to check em out. Sean Burns has the crazies interview I have ever come across. I pulled one of the questions. Check it:
