This has to be by far one of the best BMX videos I’ve seen online. Refresh is the follow up video from Brian Chase, who produced Fresh Fish last year. After Fresh Fish dropped Brian invested in a camera upgrade and started filming for a brand new video. This is just a preview for the full length DVD and I can’t wait to see the result. This trailer is spot on, from the music, to the filming, the riding… everything! Everyone has really great clips, but you have to wait till the end and watch Chris Martindale’s last clip… I’m speechless!

The Selby is a site by photographer Todd Selby documenting peoples homes. I have no idea how it took me so long to find out about the site, but I definitely spent a few hours going through it the other night. Rather than just focusing on the home and furniture, the photos also document what the people have in their homes, like books, toys, art, etc… And there is even a few offices thrown in the mix. My favorites would have to be Alexander Wang’s office and Paola Kudacki and James Penfold’s apartment. They also have amazing watercolor illustrations to go along each photo set and some pretty sweet hand written questionnaires.

Like a lot of cycling obsessed people I know when I first moved to London I worked in a bike shop for a few years.  Some of the perks are obvious; access to tools and cheap parts but I also met a lot of interesting people over my three year stint one of whom, Guy Andrews, is now editor of Rouleur Magazine.  Their second photographic exhibition starts in London next weekend.

I know Mike A will be into this as he mentioned Rouleur in the last issue of Dig but if anyone’s in London between next weekend and Christmas I’d urge them to come and have a look at the Exhibition.  Now up to issue 10 Rouleur really is a phenomenon with copies of issue one breaking £100 on ebay .  The standard of the photography is incredible and this show features work by Ben Ingham, Gerard Brown, Olaf Unverzart and Timm Kolln amongst others.

These wildfires that happen in California every so often are crazy. Even if you are not close to one, you can still smell the smoke, the air quality is terrible and ash gets everywhere.

Obviously, there are far more serious concerns if your home is threatened or if you lose a loved one, so I’m hoping the best for everyone out there.

These photos from The Big picture tell the story well. I know I’m OD’ing on that site, but I can’t help it.

This is Brad Hill filming Lee Dennis at Montebello Park in St. Catharines. Its an awesome rail and the first one that a lot of locals try.  So many wild things have gone down here and it gets ridden almost every time people are downtown.

Filming for BMXFU-TU is just about ready to be wrapped up.  Charlie Crumlish and Brad Hill have gone through countless tapes this summer getting clips from the whole crew.  Everything is coming together perfectly and the plan is to have the premier around Christmas time with the DVD jumping off shortly after that.  You can check out www.niagarast.tk for updates.
