IT’S ALL ABOUT PERFORMANCE…
This was a good way to start the day. Too funny.
Thanks to my boy Shady for the link.

Hoops is about heart and hustle
If you like stayin’ on the ground, maybe you should wrestle

I came across this site/project in the new issue of Wired.
Where I Write documents the workspaces of Fantasy & Science Fiction Authors. While the pics aren’t too crazy, it’s interesting to see how some can go from super cluttered, to super simple.

Defgrip favorite Julius Shulman passed away two nights ago at the age of 98. Read this at Dwell.
Be sure to check out this trailer for “Visual Accoustics”, the movie about his life and work.
Rest In Peace.

This is waaaaaaaaay late and there’s not much I can say about it, other than that it’s a marriage of two things that I know are of interest to the Defgrip reader, so click here to check out the full article on the Ramp House in Athens.
Thanks to Jon Moak for sending me this link months ago.
Will Stroud sent through this video he directed for Alli With An I. Keepin busy!!!
I just had flashbacks of going to “shows” back in the day.
Haha… I love this commercial. I don’t know if one car is better over the other, it just made me laugh.

You know how if you see some one yawn, it makes you want to yawn?.. Well its almost the case here but with sneezing… An odd but good watch! check it out after the jump. Continue reading slow motion sneezing →

I love randomness. I stumbled upon this site from a few links, and it immediately caught my attention as something that seemed interesting and informative, with a layout that made me want to dig deeper.
Upon looking around, I found an entry entitled “Creative BMX Culture“, which I checked out (notice the Travis Sexsmith Macneil image). I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had Defgrip linked up in there, as well as some other BMX related brands. It always awesome when random people come across our site and spread love.
Thanks TTWL crew!!
Check out Things That We Learn HERE.
We posted on it before, so we might as well post the newest video from Ken Block and DC. This one is a bit more theatrical, but if you watch it on YouTube in HQ, the slow motion shots of the car sidling while the wheels are spinning is soooo good. Especially in that turn where he’s right on the edge of the dock…

Yesterday, Jim Bauer and Sharon Walsh tied the knot and became The New Bauers. Congrats to them!!!
As to be expected, the whole event was a really nice experience. A whole bunch of good friends and family were on hand to witness the event, while Mike Ardelean did the officiating.
The ceremony was held on a hilltop, which Jim and Sharon bombed down on the above sidehack after saying “I Do”. It was awesome.
Click below for a quick pic of the bride and groom.

this is so good! check it out after the jump. Continue reading Flight Attendant doing raps!! →

These dudes are normally pretty funny, but I really enjoyed this one. In case you are caught unawares, naked pics of Cassie and Rihanna surfaced recently, and now we have this….

Haha, wanna see who’s not following you back on Twitter?? Check out Friend or Follow.
I’m so pissed that Liam Gallagher is not following me back!!
I hate to bump the Adam feature with a Chameleon video, but this is nuts (maybe keep your sound off though).
Do they really change color that fast? I know something else that does (insert diabolical laugh).

I couldn’t help but think how messed up this commercial was when I first saw it the other night, and now I can’t get the song out my head.
Jack in the Box has the best ads though…

I thought that these Audi commercials were pretty funny and accurate because they made fun of Lexus, a car which no self-respecting car enthusiast would buy. But then I drove by their Santa Monica billboard which says “Your Move, BMW” and thought it was a bit weird, not just because it’s corny but also because comparatively, BMW is still actually a pretty decent German brand, in a douchey, 2nd-to-Mercedes-and-Porsche sort of way.
So it’s extra funny to me that BMW dropped a billboard directly across the street soon after, featuring the M3 Coupe and the word “Checkmate”.
Check out the story and photo here.

Another dope referral from Jason Eichhorst. I haven’t see this book yet, but judging by the click-through preview it’s incredible. The history of skate shoes goes further back than you may think, and this book catalogs all of it up to the present.
Go here to check it out.
Check out this rad video. Not so much for the song, but for the visuals. That one part surprised me. It’s funny, I did a search for Keith Loutit here, and Harrison posted on him a few months back, but I don’t think this video was up then.

Great website, great trailers, great concept, free movie. This documentary chronicles the 2008 Le Mans race and, considering that the movie is produced by Audi, there’s a high emphasis on the amazing R10 TDI car.
I recommend clicking through the entire website but you can also go straight to the trailer here. The full length movie is also available for free download on iTunes.
Thanks Jason Eichhorst.
