I Met The Walrus is an incredible short film that’s been making its rounds on the web. It’s even been nominated for an Acadimy Award. “In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan, armed with a reel-to-reel tape deck, snuck into John Lennon’s hotel room in Toronto and convinced John to do an interview about peace. 38 years later, Jerry has produced a film about it. Using the original interview recording as the soundtrack, director Josh Raskin has woven a visual narrative which tenderly romances Lennon’s every word in a cascading flood of multipronged animation. I was just browsing Hypebeast when amidst all the sneakers, I came across two great web videos. The first is a short film about Jim Jarvis, a British illustrator. There is some great shots of his work and it’s really interesting to hear him talk about his creative process and the way he approaches projects. I think his last quote is pretty great and so true at the same time. It can really be translated across all aspects of life. The second video is a trailer for the Beautiful Loosers film. The trailer has been on the web for a bit, but I haven’t watched the whole thing until now. It looks like a great film and make sure to check the screening page to see if the film is playing near you. It’s funny because the one place it’s playing in Canada is Winnipeg and I’m just going to happen to be there when it’s playing!

The X Games are going down right now and Ride has some good coverage going on. There two videos up that are worth watching. The street video is amazing and the guys are definitely doing some serious shit. There is also a little video about the Super Park and even thought 90% of it is interviews, you need to check it out for the Chase Hawk clip. Soooo Good. I can’t wait to see the contest go down on super park and it will be interesting to see how the judge a rider like Chase and Gary, who will most likely focus on lines, against Spinner and Dhers.

This is where you can upload your Odyssey related pics and see what kind of other Odyssey related photos are out there and the photos also show up on the Odyssey Blog. They even have their own flickr page going with some Blog overload and random photos.

Funny guy and long time good friend of mine, Tony Neyer is down and out. Tony has to go under the knife for a torn ACL very soon. If you haven’t heard about or seen the video of Tony’s crash, click here to check out Rides post. Tony has placed his bike on Ebay for auction to raise some money for the surgery.
