My good buddy, Stewart Munro from Brisbane, Australia sent me over this edit. It stars Colin Mackay and Corey Bohan and was filmed on a Canon 1014 XL-S super 8mm camera with Black and White reversal film. He is currently wrapping up Post Production on his new film starring Corey and Colin and some others.

When you work at a bike company, you get lots of email from kids with ideas for new parts, questions about how to get a job in the industry and just about a million others. Not so long ago, Chris Harrison, the product designer for Federal Bikes was one of those kids. Chris was going to school for Engineering and needed to do an internship, he hit up Federal and things grew from there. I’ve become friends with Chris over the past year and thought it would be dope to ask him a few questions about what he does and hav him give some tips to kids who want to be where he is one day. Chris is a rad guy, and aside from designing all the products for Federal, Chris is still in School studying for his Masters and he is the new team manager for Lotek in the UK.

I posted on the Kaws issue of i-D a few weeks back and didn’t really have much info other than a few photos and a blog entry from Kaws’s blog… Well, the issue is about to be on the news stands in North America and it’s probably already out in the UK, and to go along with the release, i-D just posted a nice video on their site with Kaws. The video is a short interview piece starting with a bit of history about how Kaws got started and then focusing on the i-D project. I can’t wait to check this issue and I really hope I can get my hands on a Kaws copy.

I’ve had this book for a bit now, I picked it up at one of the antique stores up here in Bellingham. It has some real original - simple design in it, which I really like! I’ve seen some other penguin books on some blogs recently which I forget the names of… that were similar… but haven’t stumbled across anymore in person, check the photos. Continue Reading »

Heath Pinter has been in the magazines for as long as I can remember and for some reason, I’ve always associated him with doing cool stuff… Whether it’s having a crazy color scheme on his bike years ago, building hot-rods, or hanging out with celebrities, Heath’s done it. He’s also taken on a larger roll with all of his sponsors. Rather than just being a rider, Heath does a lot of behind the scenes stuff like being a team manager, or working with big companies to build BMX programs. We hit up Heath to chat about all of the above and we also asked him to tell a few stories about NFL player Lonnie Paxton, one of Heath’s good friends and one of the craziest dudes I’ve ever met!
Check out our latest interview with Heath Pinter here.

There’s a dope little interview with Mike Aitken that was just posted on the Fit site.

I realize I have quite a book collection, a few records, trinkets, and whatever else I can find that I’ve acquired over the years I thought some people may like - like cassette packaging! Here is a cassette tape package that I really liked.
