There are some photos that when you look at them, even if it’s just for a second, they’ll make an impact on your life. It doesn’t have to be any sort of life changing impact, but still, they are images that are hard to forget. That’s what Boogie’s work does for me. Boogie is Serbian photographer who lives in Brooklyn and is most well known for shooting gangs and crack addicts. Dante Ross has a new show on Riottt called O.G. Status and for the fist segment, he has a three part interview with Boogie.

Over the last couple of days, I’ve been listening to this new “Dillagence” album a bunch. I’m not sure if it should be classified as an online album or a mixtape, but whatever it is, it’s not bad (especially for free).
Dillagence is a collection of songs featuring Busta Rhymes (and others) exclusively over beats by the late J-Dilla.
As it goes, Dilla had given Busta a bunch of music at one point, and Dillagence is the culmination of that. According to Busta, some of the music on Dillagence is off rough mixed beat cd’s, and not fully polished up in the studio afterwards, which gives it that dirty/raw hip-hop feel that some people love. The quality isn’t terrible by any means, but don’t expect an over produced-slaved over collection of music. There’s definitely some songs I skip through, but overall, this is one of the better free downloads in recent memory.
If you’re into Busta Rhymes and J-Dilla’s unique style of beat making, check this out.

I went to check out the Smart House with Jim Bauer the other day while we were riding bikes around my neighborhood (we’ve both been counting down the days until the Smart is released in the US) but didn’t even think to post it on Defgrip until Nuno forwarded me this feature from NOTCOT.
