Stoked on Being Pumped

If you were at interbike you saw these stickers everywhere…. and I mean EVERYWHERE… all up and down the strip, all over the Tony Hawk bikes, on people, escalators, slot machines… you name it, Vegas was Stoked on Being Pumped.

Subrosa Completes

subrosa.jpg

I was super busy at the show and only really shoot a few photos of product. There was no reason behind why I shot what I shot, I just had my camera out at that time, so for anyone I left out… SORRY!!!

The Subrosa completes were released on the internet a few months back, but they were debut in person for the first time at Interbike. The quality and detail was great and were a huge hit of the show. I heard some stories that the pre-orders were crazy and I can’t wait to see kids riding them down the street.

I only snapped a few photos, but check them out after the jump. And check out their site for all the info - subrosabrand.com

FBM Sword

fbm_sward.jpg

The FBM crew had their new track frame, The Sword, out and about at Interbike and while John Paul had it in the Odyssey booth, I snapped some extremely blurry, spy photos. Not sure about any real info on the frame, other than it’s dope, but if you check out fbmbmx.com, I’m sure they will have some info up there soon.

Check out some photos of The Sword after the jump.

Animal Clothing Preview

animal_shirt.jpg

Interbike has been going good. Everyone is here and it’s as busy as ever. I’ve been taking photos here and there and I’ll be dropping them in a few different batches. First up is a preview of the new Animal cut and sew line. Animal has really stepped it up and is going to be offering two new hoodies, a few new t-shirts and two new New Era hats. We were lucky enough to get a nice preview from Shane and Ralph, so check all their new stuff out after the jump and look for the new clothing to drop at the end of November.

Pentagram

Here’s a video on Hillman Curtis’s website, which I thought was done very well. Ben Wolf is the man behind the camera lacing the piece with stunning visuals (like all of his past collaberations I’ve seen with Hillman.) The piece is focused on the maybe - unnoticably to some, but very ubiquitous firm; Pentagram, enjoy.

Interbike

vegas.jpg

Starting tomorrow… or should I say in about 4 hours, most of the Defgrip crew will be on their way to Vegas for Interbike. Stop by and say what’s up… We’ll be in booth #3334… haha… Just kidding… We don’t have a booth, but we’ll be roaming around all weekend… I’ll have a few stickers with me, so make sure to say what’s up!

We’ll be posting photos from the show and parties, so make sure to check back!

RUSS BENGTSON@RANDOM

The Animal jam was—as it always tends to be—chaotic. Rather than dive into the crowd and try to shoot over and through the masses, I stayed in the back and watched from afar. So when Joey Piazza decided to grind the flatrail by the chess tables (over my chrome Lenghty and someone else’s bike) it was just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. It’s perhaps worth noting that said rail is a good eight inches over bar height–and that one of the first shots I ever took with my digital SLR was of Joey doing the same trick on the same rail over a year ago.
