BMX BANDITS

I know that RAD gets all the glory, but we can’t forget about BMX BANDITS.

I was laughing my ass off at this intro. The stare down is intense.

Viva-Radio

VIVARADIO

http://viva-radio.com/

Viva-Radio has been getting a lot of buzz lately and I glanced at it months ago but didn’t check it out. Now for the past week this site has been really starting to get a lot of hits from me. Viva-Radio is actually really incredible. This is, in my opinion the first REALLY GOOD full fledged internet radio station. Not only can you listen live but you can also contribute to it. They have schedules on the left side and controls on the top. You can even download a stand alone version so you can keep your browser clear. Cool design, fast and functional site, good music, and offers user driven abilities. Check it out!

Ride UK / Hackers

sidehackcrop

Check out the new issue of Ride UK magazine… full of good stuff, especially the article titled “Hackers”, featuring and old photo of dudes riding a skatepark with a sidehack, and then what looks to be a recreation of the moment featuring DJs Greyboy and Truly Odd (both of whom grew up racing BMX in the 80s) riding a restored sidehack.

king_of_kong.jpg

My friend Clay Porter told me about the film last night. I have yet to see it, but based off of what he told me and the trailer, this looks like an incredible documentary. The story follows a middle school science teacher as he battles a hot sauce mogul for the Guinness World Record on the arcade classic Donkey Kong. Can you say WOW!!

PARTY PARTY PARTY

partypixxx

So lately I’ve been really getting into party pictures. Just raw pictures of people caught spontaneously. A lot of stuff has been poppin’ up in the party manner and so here I am sharing it. One of these sites has been posted already and this is probably the most known site/party photographer - Mark the cobra snake. Mark just did the new Urban Outfitters shoe catalog which in my opinion is damn fresh. So peep that.

Some other party sites include:

DirtyDirtyDancing - London club photography and really hot hipster girls. Ughh my weakness.
The Misshapes - The Misshapes are a group from NYC that are always throwing parties.
Last Night’s Party - This is a little less hipster scum related.
The Moon Goons- Yeah this is a shameful plug but like I said lately I’ve been into this shit so I’m doing it too! Minneapolis has some pretty wild people actually…

Please if you have some other good party blogs/sites comment this and I will add it to the list. I know there are tons.

Defgrip Crew in Ride Mag

RideGripArticle

Defgrip’s very own Harrison Boyce and Josh Clancy, as well as our friend Jason Eichhorst of Merit Compatibles, are featured in the new (October 07) issue of Ride BMX mag. It’s basically a mini showcase of their art and design work, with a little commentary on how riding bikes got them into what they do now, and how the two are correlated.

Pick up the new issue of Ride.

Rapha

You can never get enough of a well branded company. Rapha is a road bike apparel company specializing in function clothing and accessories for bike riding. I really love their site and all of their products look incredible. Their branding and design is very simple and elegant, but they have the occasional “flair” piece to keep everyone happy.

Check out the Rapha site here.
