A couple of Ricky Feather’s English buddies just finished a new magazine called SHUT and were cool enough to feature Lavar as their “favorite new brand”.
The first issue was nice, so those of you in the UK should check out their monthly events, and those of you in New York can keep an eye out for the mag at random locations throughout the city thanks to Feather’s girlfriend Kayti, a photographer who contributes to the mag and just brought a stack of them over to distribute guerilla style.
Most importantly, be at the Issue #2 Launch Party which, according to the flyer, has Alistair Whitton incorporated into the festivities.
The MacNeil site has been updated with a bunch of new products. The new Gary Young frames, all the bronze parts, the new Zoomer grips, and new colors for Ali’s frame are all in stock now and the site got a little face lift.

12oz Prophet, the O.G. of graffiti message boards, just launched a brand new site. As always, the design and quality is top notch and the site has a bunch of new features like a gallery page with some great photos from a few AKA opening party’s and new blog section with contributions from some heavy hitters in the graffiti/ art world. They also have a great online shop called Fourthehardway where you can find everything from paint and art supplies to books and clothing…. A few months ago I had a feature on the Lotek site where I talked about a few magazines the really inspired me over the past few years. One of them was a zine that 12oz Prophet put together and they actually have some copies available on their site. It really took me by suprise because I picked up that zine in like 2000… It’s really rad to see it up there.
