Here is a preview of the 2007 MacNeil line. I designed a bunch of cut and sew stuff this year. I’m really psyched on how it all tuned out. Almost everything is coming in a dope blue, paint and anodize, and the new seats didn’t make it into the catalog, but we did a bunch of new colorways. Keep your eyes peeled for those.
Will and Chad have been hard at work on the newest Local Exposure Tour DVD. Local Exposure Tour is a voyage that sets out in search of unknown BMX talent. At the end of the tour one fortunate local BMXer will be voted on the crew to join the next tour. Our number one priority is to give local kids some much deserved coverage on an insane roadtrip
with the sole purpose of having a good time.

The United crew has updated their website with all of their current offerings. I’m feeling the coffee stain graphic on the two tone Squad frame, but for some reason every time I look at the word “squad” I think of “squid”… Forget the squid shit, the products are looking dope. Go to Mike Ardelean’s page and learn how to take care of your t-shirts.
Last month two incredible albums dropped. The Roots “Game Theory” and J-DIlla “The Shining”.
“The Shining” is J-Dilla’s follow up album to “Donuts” which is an album that is in rotation, for me, on a weekly basis. Both J-Dilla albums are amazing but each have their own flavor. “Donuts” is more of a instrumental collection of beats that, for whatever reason, were never used and then “The Shining” is a solid 12 track album that features some incredible MC’s. For those of you who don’t know, J-Dilla passed away last February and has left a huge mark in Hip-Hop. I don’t really know how else to say it, but J-Dilla is incredible and this album definitely goes above and beyond anything I was expecting.
The other album that dropped last month was The Roots “Game Theory”. The Roots and J-Dilla have had a long history, so it was only right that they paid their respects. With the intro track titled “Dilltastic Vol Won(derful)” and the last track, featuring one of my favorite Dilla beats and a whole tribute to J-D they definitely did it right. Aside from the J-Dilla stuff this album is quickly becoming one of my favorite Roots albums. It’s rare you come across an album that you can listen to the whole way through and there is no question with both of these albums there is no track skipping needed.
J-Dilla has a pretty decent site up with a dope “respects” section and The Roots kept it simple with their MySpace page. You can check em out here - theroots.com | j-dilla.com
Reid Carleton is an old friend of mine from Long Island. He was a local at the Oakpark trails, which neighbored the popular 7-11 trails. Reid has gone on to create the Carleton collection. He offers a variety of things such as umbrella’s, mousepads and softgoods which includes a limited run of sweatshirts made in honor of his father who (unfortunately) recently passed away. The zip-up has gold lungs printed on the inside (pictured above).
