I just read an article in Esquire about a man named Irwin Leba who has dedicated his life, and a lot of his money, to a brilliant idea: Taxing the obese, based on their BMI (Body Mass Index), which can be calculated at Fattaxfacts.org. Controversial as the subject is, it’s going over pretty well with both Democrats and Republicans as a solution to two problems–the severely overweight condition of our citizens, and our equally huge federal deficit. Irwin keeps a “Fat Jar” at his house, to which he forces himself to donate money every time he eats something disgusting (candy bars, for example). He is of the opinion that the government should be the Fat Jar for America.
The hilarious irony of the situation is that Leba himself is a fat, rich guy from Texas who, back in the 70’s, turned $200k into $25 million by investing in MacDonald’s! Because of this, he feels personally responsible for the deaths of many thousands of people, and is ready to make amends for it. I like Irwin. Please GO HERE and read this article.
Today is a sad day. Fatty: Robbie Morales’s dog, has past away. For those of you who ever had the privilege of meeting Fatty probibly remember him chillin in his dog tent, or sittin on the side of robbies house catching some rays. I could say that I had the brief honor of chillin with fatty, even know he was a little stubborn toward me he meant well, Ill miss the little guy. Anyway Hes up in a better place now.
