Natasja Fourie

natasjafourie.jpg

I should just let David Lang take over posting on the site because he sends over so many good links. The latest is a portfolio site from the photographer, Natasja Fourie. Fourie has some amazing photos, but what blew me away more was the site. I don’t know if I just haven’t been paying that much attention to Flash sites, or if this thing is really that good, but I just can’t stop thinking about it. The full screen option that displays the site like you are watching a movie is amazing, the background screen type images are incredible, and all the type and design details are spot on. This is definitely one of my favorite sites I’ve seen in a while and I don’t think I’m the only one judging by all the awards the site has won.

Adam On The Net

adam_bmx_union.jpg

There’s an “On the Net” interview with Adam22 from The Come Up on BMX Union that is accompanied by a sweet photo of Adam that Nuno shot when we were all in Mexico!

Adam touches on most of the basics, talks about why he started the site and lays down some great quotes, like this: “I am pretty proud that I’ve made it this far without doing anything besides copying and pasting embed codes.”

Check out the interview here.

New Duo Site & Rogue Status Seats

duo_brand.jpg

Duo just launched a new site and it’s looking great. Keeping with the simple flash idea, they have put together a well designed, easy to use site that displays a great example of how flash should be used. I’m really digging the quotes on the team page (there are some serious names on there, BF, Mirra, Miron) and the new Rogue Status seats look so nice!

Check the new Duo site here and take a look at all the new Rogue Status seats after the jump - Continue Reading »

KEVIN PORTER AUSTIN LINE EDIT

kevin-3td.jpg

Derek has just posted a rad Kevin Porter edit titled “Austin Line 2008″, which Kevin filmed by himself. I’m sure Kevin has plenty of friends in Austin that could have filmed him, so just take this as a fun little project that he decided to tackle.

Check it out on the Orchid site HERE

New Mosh Site

mosh_andrew-lookback1.jpg

While getting the link for the last post, I came across a fresh Mosh site. It looks like it’s still a bit under construction, but the blog has some great photos in there and they have a new rss feed for everyone who’s addicted to rss feeds (myself included).

Check out the new Mosh site here.

Loft Life

nailgun.jpg

So I’m browsing one of my favorite sites, Apartment Therapy, and come across this unique new magazine called Loft Life. I go to their website and check out this cool article about insane loft spaces that have been featured in movies. It highlights the lofts from American Psycho (seen above), Bottle Rocket, A Clockwork Orange, and of course Maude Lebowski’s residence in the best movie ever.

So pour yourself a 12-year Macallan (or just keep it gutter) and go check that article out. Then check out this similar one on Apartment Therapy LA. Don’t forget to subscribe to Loft Life for dirt cheap, and then go Netflick all those joints because I know you want to revisit Christian Bale cannibalizing frozen heads.

Lotek Blog

ma_tanner01-765492_2.jpg

The Lotek blog has been going strong lately with a nice range of post from team news to the recent phenomenon of customizing your Costals. Rich recently reached out for some blogging help and gather a few guys to post on a regular basis, upping the daily post count quite a bit. There is still more bloggers to come from the UK and Germany and I believe there is still a spot for a Canadian blogger… The photo above of Mike Aitken shot by Skier Jay was posted this morning and it was taken from another well updated blog, the Fit Blog. The photo could possibly be one of the best photos I’ve seen in a long time… Is the nac nac back?

The GIVE D! dudes have a new site up, which you can check out right HERE. There’s bios for each dude and it looks like a few of them are blogging, which could lead to some serious entertainment.

If you haven’t seen any of the web vids they have made for Defgrip, do a search in the upper right corner. Cool dudes for sure.
