Ever since I learned that living indoors and eating food requires doing work (sometimes even having a J-O-B!), I’ve always gotten a bit amped on the idea of enjoying what you do and doing it with style. I figure that if you’re gonna be spending that much time doing something, you might as well embrace it. So naturally I love when publications like Wallpaper, normally known for profiling only the finer things in life and the people with the means to enjoy them, romanticize actually doing work.
The “Work” issue arrived at my door two weeks ago and highlights everything work-related–workspaces, work partners, work lunch, traveling for work, clothes and accessories for work, toolboxes and briefcases for work, coffee break from work, and so on. And this has got to be my favorite magazine cover in a long time.

I was out in Cali last week on a MacNeil trip and have been uploading a bunch of photos from the trip. We chilled in LA mostly, but we spent a day in San Diego with Gary Young and the Give D crew and had a blast! We hit up Heath’s jam, hung out with Greyboy and chilled with Mike Ardelean, Nuno, Chad Shack, Jim Bauer, Tony Cardona, Aaron Ross, Sean Sexton, and Eddie Cleveland.

For all of you who are hating on the BOING, make sure to figure out what the sound is all about and head over to the United site to follow the team on their Australia tour. They are on their ninth day and have been keeping a good daily log of photo and videos.

So as some of you may or may not know, Harrison and I were in Estonia for the Simpel Session.

Nuno and I are out in Estonia for the Simpel Sessions. Estonia is amazing. Super cold and snowy, but it’s dope! Practice starts tomorrow, so we haven’t even seen the ramps yet, but from the drawings, the course looks amazing. We had some free time today, so Nuno and I did a little sight seeing. Check out some photos after the jump.

Photographer, David Lang is out in Asia right now visiting his family for the holidays. David grew up in Singapore and moved to Vancouver a few years back to go to school. On David’s way to Singapore, he stopped by Hong Kong to visit a few friends and stumbled across a clothing store in Tsim Sha Tsui that had a bunch of old school BMX bikes.
Check out a little write-up and some photos from David after the jump. Continue Reading »

Our friends at Dork Mag just let me know about their latest project WeJetSet. It’s a brand, a store, and a publication; all dedicated to the art of traveling comfortably and in style.
It officially launches in September, but you can go there now to read about it, apply for a position as a travel correspondent, and register for a chance to win the new Mercedes-Benz C Class which will be given away when the store launches.

For some reason I’m really into luggage and traveling accessories. I have no idea where this interest comes from, but anything from computer bags to wallets gets me excited. I think it might be the fact you can do so much with a bag, but you have to approach it differently that you would apparel because more likely, it’s something you will be wearing on a daily basis, unlike a t-shirt.
Honeyee did a great feature on traveling. They picked twelve people and asked them to present their top 6 travel accessories. There are some great photos that go along with the article (the photos are the only way to know what’s up unless you read japanese) and it’s always fun to see creative peoples personal spaces.
