There’s an “On the Net” interview with Adam22 from The Come Up on BMX Union that is accompanied by a sweet photo of Adam that Nuno shot when we were all in Mexico!
Adam touches on most of the basics, talks about why he started the site and lays down some great quotes, like this: “I am pretty proud that I’ve made it this far without doing anything besides copying and pasting embed codes.”
Check out the interview here.

Dude is one of those geniuses like Chris Farley and Martin Lawrence who can’t possibly be right in the head and that is a good thing. Do yourselves a favor and click all of the below links to some of my favorite Tracy Morgan footage. Then go here and watch every episode of 30Rock.

Speaking of cycling… a lot of you know that our good friend and pillar of the Los Angeles cycling community Mike Vincent was hit by a car five months ago, and is on a long road to recovery from severe head injury. Leif Valin just sent me this flyer for a Mike Vincent benefit raffle that’s happening tomorrow at the legendary York Jam in PA.
I can’t say enough about Mike Vincent, his personality, his contributions to not just BMX but bicycling in general… thanks to Hoffman Bikes for donating this autographed Kevin Jones signature frame.

Rob Chiu or The Ronin just completed the directing and editing of the Webby Awards Intro Sequence for Digital Kitchen. The Sequence is shot all in one day throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. What really caught my eye was the motion work. There is a really nice use of expressions, motion tracking and 3D, without going overboard. I am not too familiar with Rob’s work, but after a quick glance at this piece I spent a while searching around for more. Here is a you tube link to his summer ‘07 reel, its really good.

Out of all the blogs I check, I get real psyched to check Kanye’s blog. The content is pretty good, but I do admit there is just come copy and past stuff that he throws up… But it’s dope to see someone with his status, still getting psyched about so many dope things. I am also very impressed with how much he updates it. Being on the road right now, I struggle to find something to post about, and I’ve only been out for a few days. Kanye is on the road pretty much full time and still manages to throw lots of posts up on a very regular basis. I guess if you are always traveling, you just get used to it… He just did some posts form the opening of the Bape LA store and a pretty funny video of him playing connect four with Super Bad’s Jonah Hill.
Check out Kanye’s blog here and watch him playing connect four after the jump.

Randy Taylor is one of my favorite dudes to watch whenever some Mutiny or V-Club footage pops up, so I’ve asked him to fill in some blanks for us.

Our good friend Matt Rubin has a few photos up on his Flickr page from the Mike Vincent benefit ride. It looks like there was a great turnout and it’s rad to see all the support. If you would like to help Mike check out our previous posts for all the info.
Check out Matt’s photos here.

I’m sure you all have seen these Mike Tyson video montages floating around for awhile, highlighting is best, worst, most ridiculous, violent, sexist and genius interview moments. That said, watch it again.

There’s some great stuff going on with the Defgrip crew right now. Josh Clancy has been getting a bunch of press about his new project with Zune Arts. I don’t know to many details, but he just posted a pic on his flickr page with the finished piece and got a nice plug on Eddie Cruze, the owner of Union and Undefeated’s, blog on Honeyee. Congrats Josh!
You can also check out an interview with soon to be Austin local, Chad Shack, on the BMXUnion site and keep an eye out for Mike Ardelean on the cover of the new Session BMX mag! And if you are in France, you can check out a little interview with me in the new issue of Desillusion Magazine with a fresh photo that Nuno took! You can check out a few shots of it on my site if for some reason you are not going to make it to France in the next few weeks…

There is another benefit for our friend Mike Vincent that I just came across on the Odyssey site. For more info on Mike click here and here’s the info from the Odyssey site.
As many have heard, a fellow BMXer, Contest Judge, fixed and road rider was struck down by a car a while ago. There will be a benefit ride and raffle for Mike who is still in the hospital since January. Come out for the ride to show your support and maybe win some good prizes. I heard there will be a brand new complete Odyssey/Sunday bike there for the raffle, among other bmx/fixed/road things. Probably a good chance to win too. Come out! See you downtown this weekend.
Sunday April 6, 1pm
starting at Chinatown Metro Station.
