Jordan from Vimby just hit us up with some info on a showing of Rad in L.A. Check out what he had to say:
“Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that some friends of mine have a guerrilla drive-in @ a location in downtown LA and it’s always a load of fun. This weekend the feature is RAD! And homie asked me to put some shit on blast for him so riders show up to watch it. Basically going to ride into downtown or something like that, eat tacos, drink, beer, sit on bikes and watch RAD!”

Knowing I’m a Ghostface superfan, Vinnie Sammon was nice enough to gift me one of 500 Zoo York / Ghostface tees with the accompanying skate deck. This collab between Ghost and Zoo York was born of Ghostface’s longtime love affair with the Iron Man / Toney Stark story throughout his career, with Ghost using both names as two of his aliases (which are listed on the shirt).
Ghost even starred in a scene from Iron Man, which unfortunately got cut from the movie before it hit theatres, but not before a personal phone call from Favreau who apologized did his best to make up for it.

Hillman Curtis just released a great short film on Stefan Sagmeister covering the release of his new book “Things I Have Learned In My Life So Far” and a release that he had at Deitch Projects.
Check it out here.

Harrison’s post below about Lova’s short film reminded me of this: a short film by Anthony Goicolea titled “The Septemberists” showcasing a Thom Browne collection. Apparently there’s a 30 minute version of this floating around somwhere, but this 48 second clip is amazing as well. I can’t even describe it; just check it out. Too amazing.

Check out an interview with Joe Simon on the Team Crossroads BMX site about their recent “web” video that they released.

Imagine living in a colorless world…It has to be so depressing. In this Academy Award nominated, animated short, titled More, Mark Osborne tells the story of a lonely inventor, whose colorless existence is brightened only by dreams of the carefree bliss of his youth.

Back in 2000, around the time The Clipse released the album “Lord Willing”, I was loving this song “The Funeral”. I don’t think it was on the album, but since NWA’s DJ Speed was the skate team manager for my old sponsor Axion at the time, he was nice enough to make me a mix of unreleased Clipse songs, this one being my favorite. Eight years later the Re Up Gang has posted the video on their site.
Watch it here.

This looks good. It’s been out for a while and I still haven’t seen it so I’m about to Netflick it.
Check the site and the extended trailer.

Check out what I just found on Rich’s blog… A new trailer for the Odyssey video. In my eye’s this one tops their first trailer.
Check it out on the Electronical site and make sure to not miss the premier this Wednesday the 13th

The premier for the much anticipated Odyssey video “Electronical” has been announced. Here is all the info straight off the Odyssey site:
Well its time. Time to finally show you what we have been up to with all the plugs, outlets, and lightboards all over the world. Next week, February 13th to be exact, we will have the World Premiere of ELECTRONICAL in Los Angeles(Echo Park). We will have all the stars on hand and a smattering of local BMX types. Its open to all the BMX public. The invites you see here and on other sites are just to filter out the riff raff who may wander in off the street. If you like BMX and like videos, you are welcome to attend. All the invite says is you know what you are here to see.
In addition to the ELECTRONICAL feature we will also be the launch party for Jeffzphoto.com. Jeff Z will also have an art show installed where the proceeds go to some of our more recently injured riders.
As if that wasn’t enough, we will have the world premiere of the Midnight Movies new music video starring Chad Johnston by director Bradley Scott. You may remember the story in Ride BMX a few months back.
For those not close enough to attend we will have premieres in Austin, Buffalo, New Jersey, Michigan, Salt Lake City, UK, Russia, Australia, and more. See you there!
Make sure to print out your invite - electronical_invite.jpg
