Automobiles really aren’t my thing. I appreciate nice car design, but let’s just say that I’m a silver Civic kinda guy.

On the other hand though, THIS THING looks awesome. Drives like a car and corners like a motorcycle, wow. It could be a deathtrap for all I know, but I would rather cruise in that thing versus THIS. Sorry if this is old.

Do you ever wonder why the US get screwed on all the good cars? I remember when I heard news of the A3’s release in America… I was super psyched and couldn’t wait to see the three door S3… We’ll we got he A3, but only the five door and no S models… What’s up? I heard Audi didn’t want to bring in the three door because they were afraid it would compete with the sales of VW GTI’s… I find that hard to believe… The list of dope cars that are not available in America is huge and the lack of diesel models is just plain sad… If Audi already makes a A4 Avant diesel, why would it not be available in America… Well, we could go on for hours about the diesel topic, but I thought I’d bring this all up because of the release of the BMW 1 series.

BMW has had the smaller economy sized 1 series available for years in Europe and they are finally bringing over… I have always loved the five door and I couldn’t wait to see them cruising around the streets… I had yet to see one in America, when I was in Mexico and saw one… I was psyched, “they are bringing the five door in!” I was a bit worried because up until that moment, I had only see ads for the coupe, but seeing one in Mexico got me pretty confident that we’d see them in America. We’ll, when I got back from Mexico I hoped online to check out the five door… Didn’t see it on BMW USA… Didn’t see it on BMW Canada… WTF? Was the one I saw in Mexico just imported? I Checked the Mexico site and sure enough the five door is available… So now we are stuck with the 1 series coupe… It’s not a bad car. I just want to know, why no three for five door as well? At least we can buy this!
