My good friend Jill Kintner, who is heading to the Olympics as the only US girl in BMX racing, just posted a nice look at the Freestylin’ book that was put together in conjunction with the Nike Lightning Bolts art show. You can check some photos of the book out on her blog a few posts down and you can see a few photos of the Nike BMX SB shoes as well.
Good luck at the Olympics Jill! Check out her post here.

It looks like Bob Haro is featured in the new issue of Juxtapoz Magazine where he was interviewed by the infamous Mr. Cartoon.

Empire of Dirt is done and Bohan took the win! Gary Young came in with a cool second and Dane Searls took third. All the photos that have been floating around the web look dope and it sounds like everyone had a blast. Ride US has a nice collection of photos on their site and Ride UK has a dope highlight video.

There are a bunch of photos of the Empire of Dirt course up on the Ride UK site. The whole thing looks really dope and I can’t wait to see what goes down.

Derek sent over info about a last minute trail jam they are having. The jam is this Saturday, July 26th from 3pm to 9pm, and they are also showing an encore presentation of the 2×4 video, which by all accounts seems to be a good watch. Get there if you can, even if the image on the flyer is scaring the crap out of you.
Click below for a thumbnail of the flyer, and HERE for more info.
Those of you in San Diego, come hang on Monday night with me and my fellas at UNIV, my favorite shop in North County, and participate in the 16-inch BMX race. Check below for the flyer, complete with details on a possible surprise guest that no BMXer will want to miss. And a special callout to any flatlanders–come do your thing in the parking lot and say what’s up to Defgrip interviewee Tim Swart, creative genius and BMX fanatic.

While the Sunday team and I were in Guadalajara, MX, we organized a little street jam to hang out and meet the locals. We didn’t get too much riding done, but met a lot of really cool kids, signed a load of autographs and played a few hectic games of foot down.
Check out the video from the jam.

Kink just put up a web vid from their recent Northeast trip which you can check out HERE.
