Rob Chiu/The Ronin
Rob Chiu or The Ronin just completed the directing and editing of the Webby Awards Intro Sequence for Digital Kitchen. The Sequence is shot all in one day throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. What really caught my eye was the motion work. There is a really nice use of expressions, motion tracking and 3D, without going overboard. I am not too familiar with Rob’s work, but after a quick glance at this piece I spent a while searching around for more. Here is a you tube link to his summer ‘07 reel, its really good.

That was incredible! some of the portraits in it were of people who work at DK… thats rad!
NICE. reminds me of the stranger than fiction open with a (much) broader scope.
