It’s no secret that we are into footwear around here, so when VINNIE SAMMON mentioned that he had a sneaker piece on Russ Bengtson for the Grip, i was all for it.
If you are not familiar with Russ, he is a pretty interesting dude. He is a contributing editor for SLAM magazine, has a monthly piece in MASS APPEAL magazine, can be seen in the sneaker/hip hop documentary JUST FOR KICKS, but also frequents/moderates BMXBOARD as “Noteddieroman”.
He lives and rides in Manhattan New York, and this is his apartment.

I want to see an article on all of his BMX stuff, that guy collects everything.
I’ll put together something on the BMX stuff if the powers-that-be at DG wanna run it.
Yeah Russ, impressive. Diverse lineup, and at first glance I didn’t see any Air Forces! Nice. Now you just need a display system as impressive as your collection. I’ll call up California Closets.

NotEddieRoman once outbid me on a pair of KingBikeCo forks on ebay, and i’ve never forgiven him. but he’s archiving every bmx product ever made, so i guess it’s for a good cause. time to go public with all of it, russ.

Cool, I’ll pull all the BMX stuff out some weekend. It’ll be a good chance to see what I actually have—and probably terrify myself in the process. And Mike, crazy as it seems, I only have like five or six pairs of Air Force 1s. I don’t even have the NYC-requisite pair of white-on-white lows. Oh well.
