Work!
Ever since I learned that living indoors and eating food requires doing work (sometimes even having a J-O-B!), I’ve always gotten a bit amped on the idea of enjoying what you do and doing it with style. I figure that if you’re gonna be spending that much time doing something, you might as well embrace it. So naturally I love when publications like Wallpaper, normally known for profiling only the finer things in life and the people with the means to enjoy them, romanticize actually doing work.
The “Work” issue arrived at my door two weeks ago and highlights everything work-related–workspaces, work partners, work lunch, traveling for work, clothes and accessories for work, toolboxes and briefcases for work, coffee break from work, and so on. And this has got to be my favorite magazine cover in a long time.
Click below for a homemade preview, and then go get it.

I haven’t picked up that issue yet but the pages above look so good! I don’t know what it is, but I have this obsession with seeing peoples workspaces… and it looks like there are some good ones in there.
That arrived at my firm the last week but someone snarked it up before I could grab it.
I’m going hunting!
wow thats the lamest thing ever i’m sure most of the people here who actually WORK know that they aren’t gonna show up with a “power lunchbox” without promptly being called out…and those tools in that toolbox? they wouldnt last 10 seconds either.
Looks like an awesome zine
hahaha I hate shit that makes practical stuff cute. Just grab a coleman lunchbox or cooler and be out.
“…shit that makes practical stuff cute.”
Oh, you mean “design”.
that cupboard/dresser/bookshelf set is sleek. Like it. Too bad being a teacher means you get to have a cluttered work space that gets messed up by students, paper work and all that everyday. Endless battle.
speaking of mags, HB has been slacking on the magazine reviews!!!
Yes I have been slackin!!! I’ve even shot a bunch of photos a while back, just never posted anything… I’ll get back on it one day…
