DC/SE PART 2

bike.jpg

It looks like the new DC/SE bike is out, or about to come out.

If you hit up the DC Quadangle site and click “video”, you can check out Damon Way and Todd Lyons talking about the project, along with some cool history and old school stuff.

Apparently the release party was on April 2nd too, you would think that they would let someone in BMX know. And how come I only see ads for these bikes in non-bmx magazines most of the time (if not all)?

In the words of Juse the Almighty: Atleast they didn’t hype it up as much as the last time. Take off the DC badges and the disgusting back brake and you’ll have a nice looking bike.

    total embarrassing shit

I don’t really have a problem with the project, but something just seems a little off about it.

    Both companies are respectable though.

I’ve shat stuff more respectable than DC

probably because at this point in BMX people are looking to late 80’s early 90’s stuff for retro instead of things like this.

I want to see a bike with a built in bashguard, plastic sprocket, one piece cranks, some knobby tires and tiny tubing. That would get me excited about a colab.

Exactly… Let’s see some variety. A Bully R.L. Inc. would have been sick. Or maybe something relevant to one of the Riders they sponsor since they somehow have a BMX team they leave completely out of these projects…

Someone please tell me what DC does for BMX. No pro model shoe. Just a few sponsored riders that get paid way less than their skateboarding counterparts. Oh, and their shoes suck.

They did build that sick skate plaza in Ohio…

They did build that sick skate plaza in Ohio…which nobody can ride. BS!

Pure cash in, they don’t have history in BMX (unlike Vans to an extent, for example). Should’ve whacked Quiksilver badges on it and called it a day. Brad Simms being on their flow team seals the deal, poor look for DC

DC and the Inaccuracy that is the Quadangle Cruiser aside. Look at the parts that are specked on every single SE. They are the worse looking parts you can find. The stem alone is most likely creating an aluminum crisis with it’s total waste of material. I can’t believe that TL actually cares about any of these projects by the simple fact he lets these “bikes” roll of the production line looking the way they do. Sure over all they seem neat, but the detailing is terrible.

bdubbs, don’t forget about DC’s past too. As you said in blog in early March, http://www.pdxbmx.com/2008/03/fuck-dc-shoes-b.html.

I’m still waiting on some Edwin footage at that DC Park Plaza, that’ll be the day.
