New Apple Shiz

macbook_air.jpg

We’ve steered away from posting on Apple releases over the past few years, but right now, there is an Apple Keynote going on and I’m super excited about it. They have just started and so far, they have just focused on the Apple TV and new updates for the iPod touch and some iPhone apps… There is a lot of buzz about new monitors, macbooks and macbook pros, but they haven’t got that far yet. The new macbooks are supposed to be super thin and we might see the first face lift on the macbook pro/ powermac in years. I could ramble on, but there is no need to speculate when we can just chill and find everything out in a few hours. I can’t wait till all my shit is obsolete…

If you are a nerd like me you can check up to the minute updates from the Keynote on the Gizmodo site here.

*EDIT - MacBook Air WTF!!!

*EDIT - I was hoping for more… No new monitors, no new MacBook Pro, but iPhone updates, Time Capsule, iTunes movie rentals and the MacBook Air… Not bad. At least I have a few more months before every apple product I own is out of date… YES!!!

its nice…bet jobs is pissed, it leaked!

he also seemed to be pushing the Apple TV really hard, and it seems like it might be a bigger deal in 2008 than it was in 2007.

who knows, they might release a facelift on their computers at WWDC in june.

apple tv was always a cool idea. Now it’s even more useful as a home media center. Imagine the hours wasted surfing u tube on the couch with a remote.

    Wireless time capluse is awesome.

    Air was impressive for sure.

the Air is overrated already. The price tag for the fully loaded comes to around 3100 + or -. A 1.8 ghz processor and all for what? The sake of having a thin computer? Its ridiculous how bmx related this is. Thinner lighter is not always. If this was made more affordable I would think it to be a much better idea. I applaud the design of being so efficient but the asking price is just far too much for what its worth. Keep in mind the next macbook pro version is around the corner…….

Even the Mac fanboys over on Gizmodo are disappointed in the Air. I’m not at all an Apple fan, but most of their products have some substance, even if they’re charging you a coolness surcharge on all their products. This, is the guts from a $350 laptop slapped into the thinnest case they could make without some stuff that people might need (you know, like an ethernet port). This isn’t a computer, it’s a toy.

I think the MBAir is where Steve Jobs officially announced that Apple is in hte gadget business, not the PC business anymore.

fuck paying for apps for ipod toutch.

people are gonna see through the nice cases of apple soon and reolise they are taking there customers for a ride.
they have there shit lined up for four odd years in advance its annoying paying so much for a product only for it to become somewhat obsolite in a few months.
