At one point in my life I had some sweet perforated Maroon slip on Vans. The perforation was square (as opposed to round), quite larger than normal perf and ran the whole length of the top. This was all fine and good and allowed for nicely ventilated cool feets, but also allowed for wet ones as well when I got caught in the rain in them one day. Nobody likes a soggy foot.
What does that have to do with these shoes I’m posting here? Not much, other than these will repel water instead of invite it in.
Vault by Vans prepares for the wet weather of early spring by introducing Vansguard® with new colorways of the OG Old Skool LX. Available in Kelp, Red and True Blue hues, Vans’ original Sidestriped low-top is treated with Vansguard® to repel water, grime and moisture from its surfaces. Outdoor styling cues influence the assortment as tonal twill uppers, corduroy tongue panels and tartan plaid accents tie back to the classic Harrington jacket while braided rope laces and reverse waffle outsole traction reference the hiking boot aesthetic. The Vansguard® editions of the OG Old Skool LX arrive this February at select Vault by Vans retailers.
