Rest in peace to Mike Tag.
I woke up this morning, saw the news and said “damn”. Very sad. I didn’t know Mike personally, but he was always in videos and magazines as I was growing up, which leaves you feeling like you know someone anyway.
Our thoughts go out to Mike’s family and friends.

You don’t see Lil-D stuff too often, but here he is shaking his rump around LA.
Pretty awesome film from Casey Neistat for Nike’s Make It Count campaign. Apparently, he took all the money Nike gave him to make a film and spent it traveling the world until he ran out of money… It only took him 10 days, but he covered some serious ground and put together a great video about it. During February of this year, the whole Odyssey crew got together in Palm Springs, CA for a week of riding and chilling. A house was rented for the week which had plenty of room, a pool and all the amenities we could need to survive. The crew consisted of Sean Sexton, Tom Dugan, Aaron Ross, Matthias Dandois, Terry Adams, Hoang Tran, Tom Perry, Adam Banton, Mike Aitken, Gary Young, George Boyd, Justin Simpson, Matt Beringer, Broc Raiford, Eric Lichtenberger and Chase Hawk. Francis Delapena and Devon Hutchins were on hand to film, along with Keith Mulligan and Jeff Z who covered it for RIDE BMX (out now). Jim Bauer, Stephen Campbell and myself were on hand as well. It was quite the crew.
With so many people on one trip, there’s always the potential for a huge calamity to take place. Surprisingly though, getting about 20 people functioning and out of the house early and riding was consistently smooth throughout the week. We ran into some 1,000 mile an hour winds, some rain and Hoang got a little busted, but other than that it all went smooth.
Between Jim, Stephen and Myself, we had a mixture of disposable cameras, real cameras (film and digital) and a Polaroid camera on the trip. The photos you are about to click through will give you a casual glimpse of our week in Palm Springs.
Also, We will be premiering the Palm Springs edit here on April 16, so be sure to come back and check that out.
Sandy Carson just launched a new portfolio site. Eyeball that HERE. I mean it, all kinds of gems.
I can’t stop laughing at the photo above. I’m currently that guy in a coffee shop laughing by himself in the corner.
All kinds of interesting weirdness on his Flickr stream.
As part of Kosman’s Crooked World features, he put out 2 of these “Story Behind The Photo” segments which I just got around to checking out and sharing. Sorry it took so long Kosman.
Cool stuff right here.
If you’re not a Kosman fan, I WILL FIGHT YOU!!!!
Terrell Gordy put together a review and test video on the Panasonic AF-100(AF). Check it.
Over the course of the past few months I have been fortunate enough to have Texas Media Systems here in Austin supply me with a Panasonic AF-100(AF) to shoot with. While the AF is definitely not the end all be all of the large sensor cameras. It might be, in my opinion, one of the best bang for your buck large sensor camera to date. Without going over all the technical specs, that you can easily find if so desired, this camera really does fix most of the serious problems I’ve had with the HDSLR movement.

I’m sure this post will interest nearly 100% of our viewers… I know a lot of people that read the site like to surf and I’m pretty sure just about everyone likes girls in bikini’s. This video is pretty long and I don’t know much about surfing my self, but I couldn’t stop watching it… I was really into the bigger wave stuff that starts around 4:15. (via doobybrain)
We normally don’t post bike checks, but this turndown photo was way too dope to pass up… Kyle Hart locking one in at Lahsaan Kobza’s “Secret Jam last weekend… Check out more pics and the full bike check on the Subrosa site.
Mike Hoder is taking over Photo of the Day. Big thanks to Tom White for holding it down and keep an eye out for some good stuff from Hoder!
Ali’s got a rad house check on ESPN at his new huge pad in PA. Check out all the photos on ESPN and keep an eye out for a little art project Ali and I worked on a few years ago!
Hit em with it! Jason Enns comes through with a super solid section for Volume with lots of good rail clips and a serious banger at the end.
Super excited to bring you our latest Autophoto with Ryan Worcester who sent over a great mix of riding, traveling, hiking, and skiing photos. Lots of them are snapshots and like Ryan said in an email “a lot of these are photos I like, happen to have on my computer right now and aren’t meant to be a portfolio of my “best” or most technically proficient photos, but rather some snapshots with stories along the way. These are in some ways photos I picked more for a personal attachment and the story they have than a technical display of proficiency”
Keep reading to check em out!
