Scotty Wittlake is one of my favorite people I’ve had the chance to become friends with over the years. Plain and simple, he is the real deal. I talked him into coming to gap over this highway last spring, and he was initially only planning on filming, but after standing on top of it for a while he decided to go the distance. Scotty can do anything he wants.

I’ve always been intrigued by Ryan, I remember bumping into him occasionally over the years at random skateparks all across the NW. It always seemed as though Ryan literally just coasted down on his bike from a gnarly mountain pass somewhere to the skatepark, from camping out for weeks on end. Always weather beaten, always humble as can be, and always full of traveling ambition. You can see it in his eyes when you meet him, and these photos put it into perspective perfectly! great work man, hope to cross paths again down the road!

Man what a beautiful collection and some great stories!! I met Ryan a few times at the Portland “skatepark” about 12 yrs ago, he was living out of a blue chevy blazer and. Was the coolest, ballziest rider I have ever met!!! Great job Ryan!!!!
