The New York Times has started up a Tumblr page to easily share some of the millions of photos they have at their disposal. Each photo comes with a little background info, as well as an image of the photo’s reverse side for more historical-ness (when you click on the pic).
According to the about page:
If we posted 10 new archival pictures every weekday on Tumblr, just from our print collection, we wouldn’t have the whole thing online until the year 3935.
Lots of interesting history to come I’m sure.
