Camille Seaman has been working on her series ‘The Last Iceberg’ for a few years now, and every update is somehow better than the last. Shot in Greenland and Antarctica, Seaman states that the series “chronicles just a handful of the many thousands of icebergs that are currently headed to their end. I approach the images of icebergs as portraits of individuals, much like family photos of my ancestors. I seek a moment in their life in which they convey their unique personality, some connection to our own experience and a glimpse of their soul which endures.”
Seaman couples strong artistic theory with jaw-dropping photography. It’s really quite hard to put into words just how incredible these photos are, and it’s very sobering to think that these once-gargantuan stretches of ice are now lonely blocks in our oceans.
