This Banyamulenge elder stood before me and told the story of how he escaped death from enemies in his native country and sought shelter in a refugee camp known as Gatumba. After living in the camp for some time it was attacked. He witnessed countless people slaughtered by machetes and shot by guns before saving himself and finding a new home in a this refugee camp in neighboring Burundi. (Muyinga, Burundi)
