Disposed: Empire BMX in Spain

Danny and Chase (following page) have more stamps on their passports than they ever got gold stars at school.

Welcome to a new feature here at Defgrip.

A while back, Ryan Sher had suggested to Harrison that it would be rad to send along a disposable camera on a road trip, let anyone use it and see what comes back for a photo feature. We loved the idea, and did just that. In addition to giving you a loose glimpse into the trip, this turned out exactly how I envisioned. Grainy, spontaneous and fun.

Our first victim is Empire BMX, who went to Spain to film for their upcoming video. The trip consisted of Hanson Little, Danny Hickerson, Sean Sexton, Chase Hawk and Sergio Layos.

Enjoy!

Did anyone else notice how the images are flipped? Maybe they scanned the batch emulsion side up? Sweet turnout all together!

  • Harrison Boyce

It’s funny that I didn’t notice it before, but you guys are right, all the images are flipped… They must of scanned them backwards. Unless Hanson flipped them all just to play a trick on us!

  • tom

absolutely love this feature, can’t wait for more!

    Little sidenote,

No one in Barcelona says “barca.” Barça (with the catalan Ç) is the name of the football club, but barca isn’t the nickname for the city – it’s Barna or BCN.

  • Algirdas

    This was awesome.
