Photogallery: Mike Leask Hawaii

Tourists have the option of getting very close to the waves here. Sometimes they get closer than they should, and sometimes they even die. I was just waiting for these people to get washed across the rocks. Not hoping, just expecting. You don’t underestimate the ocean here.

    Really impressive photos, Mike. Especially like 2, 5, 12 and 13, but several others are exceptional as well. They really give a person a sense of how extraordinary this place is. One of the photos, 12, made me think that this was like an oceanic version of the Himalayas. I hope you submit at least a couple to magazines. Quality work.
