Parshant from Yo, Sick, sent over issue 5 of his zine a few weeks back. He’s been doing Yo, Sick for a bit, but this is his first full size issue. The past zines have been super small, so it’s rad to see a big version. Can’t wait to see more!

The visuals are amazing and it’s definitely a well put together, captivating piece.
A Nice Set

A Nice Set is a touring exhibition of DJ slipmats that were given to 33 artists to do their thing on. The show has been touring all over the world and is making a big stop in New York tonight (May 4th) at Reed Space. In addition to all the art, on of Defgrip’s favorite DJ’s Tyler Askew will be spinning at the party, so if you are in the city, you should definitely stop by and check it out!

The World’s Best Ever is one of my favorite sites, I check it everyday. I know some of you probably do as well. The content is so assorted that it’s always interesting.
In addition to their Sound Advice series, Pictures of The Day, Slideshows and overall random interesting blogging, they will now be offering unique prints for sale from time to time. Peep the first offering HERE.

Photogallery: Dean’s Pool Party!

Dean Dickinson’s Pool Party went down yesterday at the Pink Motel in Sun Valley California.
Dean rented out the spot to celebrate his 100th pool and invited a bunch of people to shred and hang. Surprisingly, the invite only warning was adhered to pretty well, as the session was chill and there was no need to turn anyone away. I assumed that half of LA would turn up, but not so.
The setup was pretty wild as the Pink Motel is a functioning Motel with a throwback vibe, that also has an un-operational Diner on the property. The Diner is mainly used for movie/commercial and photo shoots, but serves no actual food. The owner actually opened it up and let me in too. There’s a junkyard on the property and the abandoned pool is in the back lot. It’s a wild scene, but pretty interesting.
I was on hand a shot a few photos throughout the day. Click below to check those out.
The Bank Los Angeles

The Bank Los Angeles site just dropped today.
The Bank looks to be an LA based (but not limited to) site involving feature short films, lifestyle as well as their own clothing line. They have a Jesse Whaley feature up now which you can watch HERE too. This all looks really good and promising.
I’m waiting on a Q&A, so perhaps we will have a little more insight soon.
Go HERE and have a look around and click below to check out a trailer.
