Autophoto: Jeff Zielinski

Eric Lichtenberger has such a unique set of skills on a bike, and when you throw in his imagination, high hop, and cat like reflexes, you’ve got an awesome dude to shoot BMX photos with. This 180 on its own isn’t too crazy, although it was part of a more complicated line and the runway isn’t the greatest either. But I was just excited about the shapes in the wall and the contrast. Unfortunately, there were parked cars blocking a clean shot from directly head on, so I had to settle for this slightly off center angle.

Camera info: Canon EOS 1N, Canon 70-200mm lens, Kodak Tmax400.
