This is our landlord Dave. My wife and I have been renting a backyard bungalow from him for over two years and during that time he’s been redoing the main house. When we first moved into the back house, the master house was in dire need of a paint job and the interior was nothing more than exposed beams and bare wood floors. On this particular occasion Dave was working in a crawl space under the house and when he came out covered in dust I couldn’t resist asking him if I could shoot a portrait. Today the house is completely remodeled and looks beautiful and I’m glad I got a chance to document at least one moment of Dave’s long and ambitious project.
