Autophoto: Jeff Zielinski

The awkward juxtaposition of the Galaxy apartment tower, with it’s teal blue and aluminum façade encroaching over this brick English Tudor home, is a good example of the wide array of architectural styles within Long Beach. If you’re tired of the white stucco walls and red clay roofs that are so prevalent in Southern California, take a bike ride through some neighborhoods in Long Beach and you’ll be impressed by the abundance of different style homes the city has to offer.

Camera info: Hasselblad 501cm, 80mm lens, Fuji Velvia 50.
