Growing very quickly, German born Wolfgang Tillmans went from being a local photographer to the top of the international art and fashion scene within just a few years. Credited along with Juergen Teller, Terry Richardson, and Mario Sorrenti for bringing the realist “snapshot” aesthetic into popularity. Tillmans has also been a heavy influence in the way photography is presented with his varying sizes, framing and mounting techniques.
