This was a good way to start the day. Too funny.
Thanks to my boy Shady for the link.
As long as I’ve known Jim Bauer, he’s always fantasized about living in some sort of industrial Batcave type minimalist bachelor residence where you could park your car in your living room. Building your Batcave out of glass and perching it on a Brentwood hillside ups the overall fantasy factor condsiderably. Jim sent me some links today which led me to the below.
Here’s the LA Times feature on Holger Schubert’s house/garage, which won an award from Maserati for being so badass. Make sure you click through all 7 pages.
Here’s another article with a video interview and a Maserati GranTurismo demonstrating.
Definitely click here to check out all of the other entries in the contest. Dude with the Mini Cooper and Piet Mondrian-inspired garage door is a standout, and entry #0197 Stephen Kanner makes up for his taste in cars with of the most stunning entries.
Thanks Jim for the link and for keeping the dream alive.
Nike got together with Todd Selby of the infamous “The Selby” site to photograph their Fall/Holiday apparel line and we’ve been sent an exclusive look into the photoshoot with Garret Reynolds and Nigel Sylvester. Check out a preview of the Selby photos after the jump!
There is a great interview on Honeyee with the one and only Shawn Stussy. It’s the first interview that I’ve actually seen in English on Honeyee and I’m excited because hopefully this is the beginning to more features in English. There was also another amazing Shawn Stussy post on Juxtapose with a nice photographic look inside his studio.

I just came across the above short on Yimmys Yayo. Part of me is amused by the premise mixed with the slow-mo, while another part of me thinks its comical due to the over-dramatic music, while another part of me thinks my time was robbed. You decide.

A Time To Get is a blog from Nick Maggio that contains a great mix of photos and stories from his life along with all the things that inspire his life. Nick takes a lot of photos and surprisingly they are shot with his iPhone. I was blown away when I saw them for the first time and I definitely think he wins the prize for best iPhone photos ever! haha. Check out a bunch of his photos after the jump and check out A Time To Get here.
I’m gonna keep on the Julius Shulman thing because a) he was a badass and b) KCRW in Los Angeles just did a spectacular radio tribute to him featuring interviews with his high profile friends as well as Julius himself.
I learned a few new and surprising things about The Man.

Andrew Brady whipped up this edit of Timmy Theus, who is Vinyl’s latest shredder. Enjoy!
I lurked around the X-Games the last 2 days and took a bunch of candid pics (click below). I knew a bunch of people would be there to capture the riding, so I wanted to go and get some behind the scenes stuff of people chilling, watching, and doing their thing.
It was good seeing everyone and congrats to all who rode in the contest.
Lova Design, a clothing company that we’ve posted on before is having a sample sale in LA this weekend. If you missed the short film, or just want to watch it again, you can check that out here and keep reading for all the info on the sample sale.
