This is Alex Magallan doing a gap to wallride over the rail. On his first attempt he didn’t lean into the wall enough to stick, and slid down it and shot his bike forward. The bike completely smashed my flash that was up against the wall, but the only thing that broke was a bolt on the tripod which was easily replaced. We even deliberated for a while about the safety of this flash before he fired out the first go, but I guess it was still in the danger zone even after we kept moving it farther away. I had to prop the flash up against a post next to the wall after my tripod broke to get this final shot. This is probably the third or fourth time a bike has smashed a flash of mine, however for some reason they keep working with only minor repairs to cables and tripods.
