WILDFIRES

Photography November, 18 2008

These wildfires that happen in California every so often are crazy. Even if you are not close to one, you can still smell the smoke, the air quality is terrible and ash gets everywhere.

Obviously, there are far more serious concerns if your home is threatened or if you lose a loved one, so I’m hoping the best for everyone out there.

These photos from The Big picture tell the story well. I know I’m OD’ing on that site, but I can’t help it.

The photos were amazing but just absolutely terrible.

Amazing photos, my grandma lives about a mile down the street from the Oakridge mobile home park. The house behind her blew up from embers catching on the roof. Gnarly bad stuff.

Wow! those are some ‘heavy’ pics. Really good shots, but truly devastating.

“We pretty much hope for the worst in our own sick way.” Direct quote from Kurt Rasmusson. He said it before I did. That’s all I can say for right now. What a bummer!
