Cory Nastazio 1 of 3
As soon as we came up with the idea to do these interviews, Cory Nastazio was on the top of my list. After trying to meet up a few different times, we got together with Cory in his hotel room in Portland this past September. It was a few hours after Dew Tour dirt finals where he killed it and placed second, his best placing at a contest all year.
Cory Nastazio is like no one I’ve ever met. He is extremely eccentric and has so much energy, that no matter what the situation is, if Cory’s in the room, everyone’s eyes are on him. Cory has been through more in his life than most people can imagine and has the stories to back it up. He’s been one of my favorite bike riders since I started riding and I was extremely excited to be able to interview Cory for Defgrip. In the span of two hours, we got more footage than we knew what to do with and we hope this gives you an insight into Cory Nastazio’s life.

That is so awesome. Cory is awesome. I figured something had happend to him when he got all crazy and kind of disappeared in a sense for a bit. It is crazy to think about how much money he was making! damn.

Is Cory really on crack? I always thought he had the eyes of a crackhead and now i see he acts like one too, kinda scattered and confused in the interview… plus he said he spent all his money on crack and screwed a chick with 3 fingers and 1 leg. Haha good interview none the less and can’t wait for more! Love HD

I liked the HQ but I would’ve liked to hear what the questions were that were being asked. The hard cuts without hearing the questions made it hard to follow sometimes. Still good though.

It’s not even filmed like epically latered at all. People need to relax. This kind of material is way more interesting than the latest vital edit of some idiot and his socal backyard ramp set up.

I dont know what this epic latered is exactly, but these defgrip vids are just simple cuts from an interview thrown together so I dont see how it’s copying. And like JKrantz said they’re much better than those vital interviews, can’t wait for more.

this is nothing like epic later’d. at all. its like saying any off camera interview is like epic later’d. this has no riding, no other people talking. i think everything creative in bmx is bound to get shit talked. people are doing cool progressive stuff and all that happens is that it gets compared to skateboarding, not cool.

oh yeah about the interview…i liked it a lot but it seemed to get a little mish mash at the end and a little incoherent. i would have hated to be the dude behind the camera for this one, shooting people who move a lot around the frame suck to shoot! keep this shit coming!
