Watching this video of Mike Aitken on the local Utah news walking out of the hospital, could not make me any happier!!! I’m sure all of you will feel the same way.
This news segment got me extra psyched because when Bauer and I visited Mike in Utah a few weeks ago, he was not responsive to us or anyone in the room, which was a bit hard. Mike has made impressive progress in the last couple of weeks, and I am very happy for him and his family.

this just slapped a smile on my face i cant believe it he actually walked straight out of the hospital and its good to see someone with so much influence on bmx is gonna wear a helmet i think alot of kids will wear them because he is and it will probably stop alot of injuries

So glad he’s on his way to full recovery. Mike’s situation, like many other pro’s, begs the question of whether or not the Obama/Biden proposal to offer healthcare to all will cover those who were previously deemed “uninsurable.” I certainly hope so.
